An Introduction to Our Pastoral Care Team
The Pastoral Care Team, under the direction and leadership of the Pastor, provides pastoral care to members of the congregation in times of need and crisis.
Through a ten–week training program, team members have received help in developing both their listening skills and the ability to respond pastorally when a situation arises. Emphasis is placed on the importance of maintaining confidentiality. Ongoing training programs offer opportunities for further development in the ministry of care. The team meets regularly for mutual support, sharing, and learning.
In addition, the Pastoral Care Team responds to the Church’s mission to minister to our neighbours by participating in visitation programs in area seniors’ homes and hospitals.

Our Mission
We are called to build Christ's Kingdom of mercy and justice by standing in solidarity with all who suffer from age, illness, loss, and isolation and to bring the touch of God's love, healing and hope to those who seek it.
We do this by
Respecting
…the confidentiality of the individual
Listening
…to their concerns
Valuing
…their contributions, past and present
Praying
…for and with them when requested
Nurturing
…quality friendships with them
Supporting
…them in word and deed
Visiting
…them wherever they are
