St. Leonard's  Parish uses an envelope contribution system that allows those enrolled to obtain a year-end-statement of their contributions. Everyone who takes part in this optional service provided by the parish may pick up a pack of envelopes bearing an identifying number.

Use of the envelope system is encouraged as it provides documentation to support parishioners’ tax deductions. You may register for the envelope system by contacting the parish office.

Direct Deposit

Dear Parishioners:

Traditionally, most parishioners use weekly offering envelopes to make their financial contribution to regular church support. This no longer seems to fit many cases. Some parishioners have asked us to implement a more automatic payment system similar to their regular payments, such as insurance, hydro, cable, telephone, mortgage, etc.

We can now provide a bank pre-approved debit system. We are offering a service whereby you can choose to donate your parish support contribution via monthly pre-authorized bank debits from your chequing account. Once set in place, you could change the amount of your regular contribution simply by calling the parish office. You would then use the special collection envelopes only as needed. Annual income tax receipts would continue to be automatically provided by the parish.

This computerized system is quite flexible and actually requires less administration than our current system. It also provides for both the parishioner and the parish a more regular and predictable budgeting process and covers for absences such as illness, vacation, etc.

If you would like more information, please call the parish office. If you choose to participate, simply complete the pre-authorization form and drop it in the suggestion box or return it to the parish office with a voided copy of a cheque drawn on your chosen bank account.

Notwithstanding this initiative, we intend to continue with the current practice. The Parish Pastoral Council and Temporal Council fully support this initiative since it provides a more regular and dependable cash flow and facilitates budgeting and administration. We encourage you to consider this option.
