Social Action Social Action is a new ministry at St Leonard’s that provides parishioners an expanded opportunity to learn about, and become involved in, various social action and social justice activities. Our mandate is to reach out to those in need of humanitarian aid, through involvement in some kind of social action with several local, domestic and international projects. Development and Peace activities fall under this mandate, and as such, the parish rep for Development and Peace automatically becomes a member of the Social Action Ministry team. Members of the current Development and Peace team have all agreed to continue to serve on the new St Leonard Social Action Team. Newcomers to this new ministry team are most welcome. Throughout the year, the parish will be presented with projects at all three levels (local, domestic, and international), offering St Leonard parishioners an opportunity to connect to and support social action efforts on a personal level.
